Lyne Park

Lyne Park is Rose Bay's big harbourside lawn, with seaplanes, moored boats and the city skyline in view. Dogs can run off lead here in the mornings and late afternoons.

Lead rules

Woollahra Municipal Council allows dogs off leash from 3.30pm to 10.30am, except when organised sport is on. At all other times they must be on a lead.

The walk

Long, level paved paths cross the park and follow the foreshore, and the open turf gives dogs plenty of room during off-lead hours. Harbour-side spots along the shoreline let dogs paddle.

There are council bins and picnic tables, but bring your own waste bags. The off-lead hours are when the local dog crowd gathers, so expect company.

Getting started

Public car parks sit near the Woollahra Sailing Club and tennis courts, and by the Rose Bay ferry wharf.

Make a day of it

Walk on to the cafes of Rose Bay, such as Sugar+Spoon or Jezve Coffee.

Time your visit for the off-lead window and check for weekend sport before you let the lead go. The flat paths suit dogs of any age.
