Marriott Waters Reserve

Marriott Waters Reserve wraps a paved loop around wetland ponds in Lyndhurst, on the Cranbourne West border, where ducks, swans, ibis and darters work the water. It is a calm on-lead stroll that is easy on joints.

Lead rules

The City of Casey manages the reserve. Dogs must stay on lead along the paths, as this is not an off-leash area and the wetlands protect local birdlife.

The walk

Cement paths loop around the ponds past open lawns and parkland. New trees and shade structures sit near the playgrounds, including Livvi's Place, but much of the wetland loop is open.

Getting started

Parking is close to the main reserve entry and playground, near Boland Drive. Bins are at the entry points and picnic areas.

Drinking water is at the main pavilion and playground areas, so fill up before you set out.

Make a day of it

For off-lead time, Trueman Reserve Dog Off Leash Area in Cranbourne West is fenced. Jersey's Cider House is nearby for a drink afterwards.

When to go

Mornings beat hot afternoons on the exposed loop. Families gather around the playgrounds, so dogs that stay calm around kids will enjoy it most.
