Lower Gullies Walk

The Lower Gullies Walk leaves Bundanoon village on quiet streets and drops into bushland to a creek and an old swimming hole. Dogs come along on a lead for the whole route.

The walk

It starts near Church Street and Gullies Road on bitumen, then follows the Lower Gullies Fire Trail on dirt. A short, steep track takes you down through the bush and across the creek.

The walk features in the Bundanoon Discovery Rambles, and the streets and reserves it uses sit with Wingecarribee Shire Council.

Water and shade

Most of the route is under native bush, so it stays shaded. The creek gives dogs a drink, but carry fresh water too.

Parking and bins are easier back near the railway station and village centre than at the Gullies Road trailhead.

Pepsi: The creek crossing is the best bit. Let your dog cool its paws in the shallows before you walk on.

Make a day of it

Back in the village, Potter's Pantry is a good place to finish.

The steep section suits fit dogs rather than elderly ones. Shade makes it a fair choice even on warmer days.
