Potter's Pantry Bundanoon

Potter's Pantry is a bakery cafe on Railway Avenue in Bundanoon, right opposite the railway station, and it is known locally for house-baked pies, quiches and slices. A dog-friendly table sits out the front, which makes it an easy stop when you are walking the village with a dog on lead.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the designated outdoor table at the front of the cafe; indoors is for people only. The front seating is limited and popular, so ring ahead on a busy morning to secure it rather than turning up and hoping.

The vibe

This is proper bakery country: cornish pasties, eggs benedict, carrot cake porridge, banana bread, caramel slice and homemade jam, with coffee and a brunch spread behind them. Opening hours run 7am to 3pm daily, so it covers an early post-walk breakfast as comfortably as a late-morning feed.

Max: the dog table fills up fast on weekends. Get there early or ring ahead, because the village draws a crowd on market days.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Railway Avenue directly outside, and arriving by train could hardly be easier since the station sits across the road. Bundanoon itself is about twenty minutes south of Bowral in the Southern Highlands.

While you're out there

The village streets around Railway Avenue are flat and pleasant for an on-lead wander, and Jordan's Crossing offers an off-leash exercise area a short drive away for a proper run. Morton National Park is five to ten minutes by car for longer walks, though leash and access rules vary by section, so check the signage.
