Light Street Reserve

Light Street Reserve in Dianella sits with the Dianella Regional Open Space, a mix of remnant bushland, sports grounds and play areas. What decides it for most owners is that dogs can be off-lead here unless a sign says otherwise.

Leads and the off-lead area

The City of Stirling lets dogs exercise off-lead in its general parks and reserves, provided the area is not signed against it. The regional open space also has a dedicated enclosed dog park section.

Watch for signs near the sporting fields and playspaces, and clip on when you pass them.

The walk

The paths are flat and sealed, running beside open ground that is easy on dogs of every age. You pass patches of native bush and trees where the local birdlife gathers, then out past the sports and play areas.

Max: Off-lead only works if your dog comes back when called. Near the play areas, keep them close.

Pair it with

Morley is a short hop away. Dancing Duck & Co and Kowloon Cafe Perth are both nearby for a post-walk stop.

Flat sealed paths make this a good pick for older dogs and pups still learning recall. Bring water for the dog, and go early in summer before the heat builds.
