Lake Annand Park Loop

A flat path around an artificial lake with a fountain, big weeping willows and Queensland bottle trees makes Lake Annand Park an easy South Toowoomba walk. Toowoomba Regional Council requires dogs on a leash at all times, as it is not an off-leash area.

The loop

Paved concrete paths circle the lake and link across the park, past manicured lawns and waterbirds. The loop is level the whole way round.

Large mature trees line the grassy areas and give plenty of shade.

Getting started

Free street parking is available beside the park on Long Street. Bins sit around the grounds and near the main loops.

There are bubblers in the park, but carry a bowl and water for the dog in warmer months.

A playground, picnic tables and electric barbecues make it easy to fold a walk into a family outing.

For coffee in the city, try Abbey's Cottage Cafe or Gloves and Grind.

The level loop and deep shade suit older dogs and slow, sniffing walks.
