Pet policy
Dogs on lead on the recreation reserve trails; the adjoining Knuckey Lagoons Conservation Reserve bans dogs (Litchfield Council).
Knuckey Lagoon Recreation Reserve on Brandt Road has six themed bush walking trails through Top End woodland, and Litchfield Council allows dogs to be exercised there on lead.
Which reserve
The neighbouring Knuckey Lagoons Conservation Reserve, run by NT Parks and Wildlife, bans dogs, partly because saltwater crocodiles live there. Stick to the council recreation reserve.
Lead rules
Dogs must be on a lead and under effective control, and there is no fenced off-lead section. Pick up after your dog.
The walk
Tracks are natural earth and gravel through stringybarks, woollybutts, banksias and cycads, with birds throughout. Link as many of the six trails as you like, since no single loop length is published.
Max: Crocodiles live in the lagoons next door. Keep your dog leashed and well away from the water.

Holmes Jungle Nature Park is nearby for another bush walk, and Luna & Co Cafe in Berrimah is close for coffee.
When to go
Go early in the day, as open stretches get hot. Bring water, as none is provided for dogs.
