Rosehill Park

Rosehill Park sits in Keilor East, just over the border from Niddrie, and was recently redeveloped by Moonee Valley City Council. Dogs are welcome, on a leash, with firm buffers around the play areas.

Lead rules

Keep your dog on a leash throughout the park. Dogs are not allowed within 15 metres of the children's playground, public barbecues or exercise equipment, and that matters here because the play tower is a centrepiece.

The walk

Paved concrete paths loop the perimeter and connect to shared paths nearby, including the route along the Steele Creek corridor. Inside you pass open grassy spaces, a skate park, the custom-built play tree tower and new community facilities.

It is a short, easy park walk. Tack on the creek paths if your dog wants more.

Max: The playground buffer is 15 metres. Plan your line around the tower before the kids arrive.

Make a day of it

Mister Hoffman in Niddrie is close for coffee. For an off-leash run, head to Cliff Whitworth Reserve Dog Park.

Go when the playground is quiet if your dog finds kids and skateboards exciting.
