What visitors mention
Harrington Lake Walk is a paved 2.2-kilometre loop around Harrington Park Lake in the Macarthur Region of NSW. It is leash-only, flat, and popular with local dog walkers who use it daily.
The walk. An easy, fully paved loop with a flat grade the entire way. The surface is wheelchair accessible and suitable for strollers, making it a straightforward circuit for dogs of any fitness level. Expect water views, native birds, and landscaped surroundings throughout.
The rules. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Owners must pick up after their dogs, and dogs need to be kept under control to avoid disturbing native birds and swans on the lake.
What is there. Covered picnic tables, electric barbecues, a small children's playground, and open-air fitness stations along the route. The pathway is fully paved end to end.
Getting there. Drive via Camden Valley Way, turning into Harrington Parkway. Parking is available at the lot off Charker Drive and surrounding residential streets. The closest train stations are Campbelltown or Macarthur, with local bus services running along Camden Valley Way and a short walk into the suburb from there.
Nearby with the dogs. For an off-leash run, head to Narellan Leash Free Park. If you want a coffee afterwards, Sidewalk Society in Narellan is a dog-friendly cafe. For overnight stays, Narellan Motor Inn accepts pets.

When to go. Early mornings before 8 AM or mid-week lunchtimes are the quietest windows. Weekend mornings and late weekday afternoons draw the biggest crowds of residents walking after work. The trail is rarely overwhelming, but the loop can be wet after heavy rain, so pick a dry day if you want to avoid standing water on the path.
