Guest Park

Guest Park is a Fairy Meadow neighbourhood green off Cambridge Avenue and Balgownie Road, where a short stroll takes in a modern playground, tennis courts and one of Wollongong's Tiny Forest plantings. Dogs are welcome, but only on lead.

Lead rules

Wollongong City Council treats Guest Park as a general public park, not an off-leash area. Keep your dog on a lead the whole time unless signs on the day say otherwise.

The walk

Concrete paths run through the reserve and past the community buildings, with softfall and mulch around the play areas. It is a gentle, accessible circuit that works for prams and for dogs who don't move as fast as they used to.

Mature trees and the young Tiny Forest give patches of shade. There are public bins nearby, but carry water and a bowl for the dog.

Park in the street or in the bays near Cambridge Avenue, beside the tennis courts and community facilities.

For a longer outing, the Towradgi Beach Foreshore Path gives you a coastal walk, and Sketch Coffee & Art in Towradgi is handy for a coffee afterwards.

Guest Park suits a short, calm walk with a young or older dog. Keep well clear of the playground and its softfall.
