Edenbrooke Park

Edenbrooke Park wraps a tree-lined lake in Seventeen Mile Rocks, with a flat paved path, turtles in the water and birds in the eucalypts. Dogs are welcome on a leash at all times.

Lead rules

Brisbane City Council manages the park, and dogs must stay leashed along the whole route, including the connecting bikeway towards Sinnamon Park. Expect to share the path with bikes.

The walk

The concrete path is flat and works for wheelchairs and prams. Native eucalypts line the water, with open grassy patches between the shady stretches.

Bins sit along the main paths. Park on the street by the residential entrances around Bellwood Street.

Water points depend on the section, so carry a bottle and bowl.

Make a day of it

For off-lead play, Delapine Place Park Fenced Dog Park is the local fenced option, and Riverlife Cafe covers coffee.

When to go

Shade gets patchy in the middle of the day, so summer walks are best early or late. The flat, even surface makes it a comfortable choice for older dogs and quieter walkers.
