Dean Park Walking Path

Tucked into the streets around Durward Street, the Dean Park Walking Path is a wide paved loop for everyday walks. Dogs are welcome on lead, and it is right on the doorstep for locals.

Lead rules

Blacktown City Council manages the path, and dogs must stay leashed on its public walking tracks. Off-lead play is only allowed in the council's designated off-leash areas, and you must pick up after your dog.

The walk

The concrete path runs past mature trees and open grass, linking pockets of reserve through the neighbourhood. Shade comes and goes under the trees.

Because it is smooth and wide, you will share it with prams, scooters and bikes. Keep the lead short around wheels.

Water and bins

Council bins sit along the reserves. The nearest bubbler is at Reserve 684 on Symonds Road, but carry a collapsible bowl and water anyway.

Street parking sits beside several entry points.
