Crookhaven Park

Crookhaven Park on Prince Edward Avenue is Culburra Beach's sportsground, a broad, level spread of mown turf close to the Crookhaven River. It works best as an on-lead lap of the fields when no matches or training are on.

Lead rules

Shoalhaven City Council treats this as a standard park and sportsground, not an off-leash area. Dogs must be on a lead and under effective control at all times.

The walk

There is no formal track. You walk the grass around the sports field and open park, with the river and coastal scenery close by.

The flat ground suits a steady stroll or some on-lead obedience practice. Partial shade sits along the perimeter trees, while the fields themselves are largely open.

Getting started

Off-street parking is on site off Prince Edward Avenue, and there are public toilets and a canteen, though opening depends on sports fixtures. Carry water and bags, as dog water and bins may be limited.

For an off-lead run, Culburra Beach between Park Row and Tilbury Cove has seasonal off-leash hours.
