Andromeda Drive Reserve

Andromeda Drive Reserve is a community sports reserve in North Cranebrook, recently upgraded by Penrith City Council, with open grassed fields and paved perimeter paths. It suits a routine on-lead walk.

Lead rules

Penrith City Council requires dogs to be leashed in its public reserves unless an area is set aside for off-leash use, and this reserve is not. Keep the lead on for the whole walk.

The walk

New concrete walkways run around the open fields with seating along the way. Drainage work on the eastern fields has made the grounds easier to walk after rain.

Scattered mature trees give some shade. There are general bins but no dedicated dog water, so bring a bottle.

Getting started

The upgrade expanded the off-street car park, which is shared with the local sports clubs.

For off-lead time, Jordan Springs Fenced Dog Park is close by, and Parx Coffee House Cranebrook covers the coffee.

Weekdays are the easier time to visit, before the sports clubs take over the fields.
