Jordan Springs Fenced Dog Park

Jordan Springs Fenced Dog Park is a purpose-built, fully fenced off-leash area on Lakeside Parade in Jordan Springs, about 7km from Penrith's centre. The drawcard is simple: it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with secure double-gate entries and separate fenced sections for large and small dogs.

The rules

Dogs must be leashed before entering and when leaving the park, then go off-leash inside the fenced area under supervision and never left unattended. Penrith City Council's park rules also require dogs to be fully vaccinated and owners to clean up immediately.

Children must be supervised at all times, and no food, alcohol or smoking is permitted in the off-leash area.

What's there

The park splits into separate fenced sections for large and small dogs, so you can use the side that suits your dog's size and confidence. Agility equipment is installed for structured play, and water stations are inside the park for hot days.

The full perimeter is fenced with double-gate entries, which does the important work of stopping dogs slipping out while others arrive and leave.

Max: the leash rule applies on both sides of the gate. Clip on before you enter and before you exit the double-gate section, even if your dog is steady. It only takes one surprise at the gap.

Getting there

Set your maps to Lakeside Parade, Jordan Springs NSW 2747, within the residential development itself. Street parking is available along Lakeside Parade, and the drive from Penrith city centre runs roughly 7km.

Close by with the dogs

If the park is crowded, Werrington Dog Off Leash Area at Kingswood is a reasonable fallback in the same direction as Penrith. For coffee before or after, Parx Coffee House at Cranebrook sits on the drive in.

When to go

Early morning and evening are typically the calmer windows at this residential park, with the after-school and weekend slots busiest. Good for dogs that benefit from separate large and small dog enclosures in a fully fenced setting.
