Coronation Park

Coronation Park on Stephen Street in Harristown gives Toowoomba dog owners two things at once: a paved walk on lead and an unfenced off-leash area in the southern section.

Leads and the off-leash area

Toowoomba Regional Council designates the southern part of the park for off-leash exercise. Everywhere else in the park, dogs must be on a lead.

The off-leash section has no fence, so it suits dogs with reliable recall.

Max: No fence means no safety net. Clip back on before you leave the southern section.

The walk

A concrete and asphalt path runs through open grass past a modern playground with a flying fox and an artificial climbing hill with a slide. There are barbecues too, which makes it an easy family outing with the dog along.

Water and shade

Drinking fountains are near the amenities and playground, and council bins are in the grounds. Established trees and covered picnic tables give some shade, and free street parking sits right by the reserve.
