Clermont Park

Clermont Park on Faulkner Way is a tidy neighbourhood green in Edmondson Park, built around a playground and a few flat paths. It is a quick on-lead stroll close to home, not a destination walk.

Lead rules

Liverpool City Council manages the park, and it is not one of the council's off-lead areas. Dogs are welcome on a lead.

The walk

Paved walkways circle the lawn and join the surrounding footpaths, so you can stretch it into a longer neighbourhood loop. It is all flat and easy on older dogs.

The playground, with its carousel and toddler equipment, draws young families. Give it a wide berth.

Water and shade

Shade is limited to the playground cover and a few sheltered picnic tables, and most of the grass and paths sit in full sun. There are general bins but no dog water, so bring a bowl and a bottle.

Park on Faulkner Way or the nearby streets.

With so little shade, come early morning or evening from spring through autumn.
