Chandler Bushland Reserve

Chandler Bushland Reserve, on Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road in Chandler, is protected eucalypt bushland restored by Brisbane City Council as koala and glider habitat. Treat it as a quiet, on-lead nature stroll, not a formal trail.

Council bushland reserves require dogs on a lead at all times unless an area is signed as off-lead.

What to expect

The council does not publish a set loop, surface or length for this reserve. Dense native canopy gives heavy shade, and the southern edge sits beside Leslie Harrison Dam.

There is no car park, just roadside pull-offs, and bins are scarce, so carry out your dog's waste and bring water.

Max: This is habitat for koalas and gliders. Keep the lead short and stay on the tracks.
