Dogs on lead on both tracks; the nearest off-lead space is the fenced Cambridge Dog Park (Clarence City Council).
Two small neighbourhood tracks on Hobart's eastern fringe, Poets Track and Soldiers Track wander through bush and low grassy country at Cambridge. They are short, local and walked on lead.

Clarence City Council expects dogs on lead on local tracks and reserves unless signs mark a dog exercise area. Neither track is signed that way.
The tracks
Poets Track is narrow dirt singletrack, while Soldiers Track is gravel. Neither has a published length, so link them as far as your dog likes.
Bring water, as none is listed along either track.
Make a day of it
For off-lead time, the fenced Cambridge Dog Park has water for dogs and a quiet zone. Then grab a bite at Red Square Cafe.
Who it suits
Locals after a quick on-lead outing, and sure-footed dogs that do not mind a narrow dirt track.
