Callala Bay Foreshore Walk

The foreshore walk at Callala Bay follows the water from Bicentennial Park, around the headland and past the wharf, with the whole of Jervis Bay in view. Dogs come along on lead.

Lead rules

Shoalhaven City Council requires dogs on a leash along the foreshore reserves and shared path, and at least 10 metres from children's play equipment.

Some nearby beaches are closed to dogs to protect nesting birds, so read the local signs.

The walk

It is flat and easy, on a paved shared path with boardwalk sections and a few quiet residential streets. You pass boat ramps, a footbridge and carved poles by local Jerrinja artist Noel Wellington.

Shade comes and goes, with exposed stretches along the open bay. Local volunteers keep dog bag dispensers stocked along the route, but bring your own water.

Max: The path passes the wharf playground. Keep 10 metres clear and shorten the lead as you go by.
