Bourke Street Park Loop

Bourke Street Park Loop is a short, paved circuit around a neighbourhood park in Boorooma, on Wagga Wagga's northern edge. It is an on-lead stroll from the front door rather than a destination walk.

Lead rules

Dogs stay on lead on the loop and are not allowed inside the playground area. For off-lead time, the fenced dog park at Explorer Park is the local option run by the City of Wagga Wagga.

The walk

The path is surfaced and flat, circling open grass with scattered shade trees. No official distance is published, and it is short enough to do twice.

Street parking is easy along the surrounding homes. Shade is patchy, so bring water for the dog in warm weather.

Pair it with

Stretch the outing along the Estella Road Shared Path or finish with a coffee at Hadley’s Cafe.

When to go

Morning or evening suits it best, when the exposed stretches are cooler. The flat surface makes it an easy choice for older dogs.
