Binalong Park Loop

Binalong Park has no signposted trail, but locals walk a loop around its perimeter and sports fields. It is a flat, open circuit in Old Toongabbie, and dogs need to stay on lead.

Leads on

Binalong Park is not one of the City of Parramatta's off-leash areas, so dogs must be on a lead at all times. The fenced playspace and the courts draw a crowd, so keep the lead short as you pass.

The walk

The loop mixes grass along the perimeter with concrete paths near the edges of the facilities. You pass wide sports fields, the shaded playspace and tennis and basketball courts.

The fields themselves have little tree cover. Bins and toilets are near the sports fields, but bring your own water and bags.

Getting started

There is on-site parking off Binalong Road, right beside the fields.

Pair it with

Grab a coffee at The Hideout Cafe, or drive to Barnett Park Fenced Dog Park for off-lead time. The Pemulwuy Loop in Winston Hills is another walk close by.

When to go

With little shade on the fields, go early or late in summer. It is a flat, simple circuit that suits older dogs and a quick daily walk.
