Dogs are permitted on selected caravan and camping sites and in designated pet-friendly cabins, but only with prior approval at booking, because pet accommodation is limited. The park caps it at one pet per booking, and pets must be registered and checked in at reception on arrival. Around the park the rules are standard resort rules: leash on at all times outside your own site or cabin, never left unattended, and strictly no access to communal facilities such as pools, the splash park, playgrounds, camp kitchens and amenity blocks. The fenced agility park with tunnels, ramps and obstacles is the one place off-leash is allowed, and the park also partners with a local dog day care if you need a few hours covered. Fees vary by cabin and site type and are not listed online, so confirm the amount when you book, and note that soiled cabins attract a minimum cleaning charge of $200 under the booking terms.

The park itself

Beyond the dog setup, this is a full family resort: a tropical pool with water slides, a splash park, mini-golf, a tennis court, a jumping pillow, water aerobics, and an on-site cafe and poolside bar so nobody has to drive for dinner. It suits dogs that are settled around kids and activity rather than dogs that need quiet.

Getting there and out with the dog

Anderson Road runs off the Bruce Highway (A1) on Cairns' southern side, so caravans and motorhomes arrive without city traffic, and you park at your own site or cabin. For off-park exercise, Henleys Hill Park Fenced Dog Park at Earlville is a short drive north, and Edmonton Dog Park is south. Council off-leash beaches such as Holloways Beach sit to the north, with crocodile and stinger signage worth reading before any swim.
