Dogs at the park

Pets are allowed in selected pet-friendly cabins and on powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites. You need to book pet-friendly accommodation in advance rather than turning up with a dog and hoping. The dog beach rules

The City of Coffs Harbour designates Woolgoolga Back Beach as the main off-leash beach, with one seasonal catch: off-leash access is suspended during the little tern breeding season, when the area is signposted and dogs must stay on lead. On Woolgoolga's main beach, dogs are prohibited at the southern patrolled end but permitted on lead north of Hofmeier Close. Darkum Beach at Mullaway, a short drive north, is another council-listed off-leash option.

Worth knowing

The park runs to cabins, caravan and camping sites, barbecue areas and both beachfront and lake access, and reviewers rate it highly for its ocean position. The town centre is a short trip away for supplies, with dog-friendly cafes for morning coffee.
