NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort (Coffs Harbour)

NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort is a large beachside holiday park at Arrawarra, about thirty minutes north of Coffs Harbour, spread across roughly 110 acres of coastal bush with direct beach access. The difference for dog owners is that it is genuinely set up for pets, with dedicated pet-friendly cabins and sites, rather than treating dogs as a grudging exception.

Dogs at the resort

Dogs are accepted in specific pet-friendly accommodation only: the Palm Villa pet-friendly units, ensuite sites, and premium powered sites. Approval sits at the park manager's discretion under the booking terms, generally limited to small dogs, with a maximum of two pets per site or villa. Pets must be declared at booking, dogs stay on a lead outside your site or accommodation, and they are kept out of communal facilities like the pool area. Owners handle clean-up. An additional pet fee per night applies and is payable at the park, so confirm the amount when booking.

The vibe

This is a full-scale family resort rather than a simple caravan park: a big accommodation mix, resort facilities, and kilometres of coastal bush tracks inside the property itself. The 110 acres matter for dog owners, because morning walks happen on-site before you reach the beach. The direct beach access is the headline, with the surf beach a walk away rather than a drive.

Out with the dog
