Bunya@Maleny Farm House

Bunya@Maleny Farm House is a four-bedroom property on a 220-acre working cattle farm at Witta, a few minutes out of Maleny on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Alcorn Creek runs through the grounds and the view is rural acreage in every direction. Dogs are allowed, but this is a livestock property, so the pet setup is different from a standard cottage stay.

Dogs at the farm

Approval must be arranged before you book, not assumed at the gate. Third-party listings describe dogs of any size and multiple dogs as generally welcome once approved, and a pet fee may apply, though the figures reported across booking channels conflict, so confirm the exact amount and any area restrictions directly with the property. Because the farm runs cattle, expect to keep your dog on lead near electric fencing and stock. A calm dog that ignores livestock will fit in; one that reacts to animals will not.

Max: get the approval and the fee sorted before you drive up the range. A working cattle farm is the wrong place to argue the rules at the gate.
