BIG4 Tasman Holiday Parks - Warrnambool is a full-service park near the Warrnambool CBD, with a heated indoor pool, games room, table tennis, camp kitchen and ensuite sites. It is also one of the flexible ones for dog owners: pets go on designated grassed tent and caravan sites, and unlike most BIG4s, selected pet-friendly cabins and apartments are available too.

The park itself
The indoor heated pool is the draw in a town where swimming weather is unreliable, and the games room and camp kitchen give wet-weather options. The CBD, Breakwater and the whale-watching platform at Logans Beach are all a short drive from the park gates.
Out with the dog nearby
Warrnambool's beach rules change by season: Logans Beach and the stretch from the Hopkins River's west side to The Flume are off-leash year-round, while the main beach between The Flume and the Breakwater bans dogs from 1 December to 31 March and allows on-leash the rest of the year. Lake Pertobe Adventure Reserve and the Botanic Gardens are prohibited for dogs at all times, so aim for the fully fenced Victoria Park Community Dog Park instead. In town, Rough Diamond is the breakfast coffee stop, and Surfside Holiday Park is the council-run alternative right by Lake Pertobe.
