Reflections Moonee Beach - Holiday Park

Reflections Moonee Beach - Holiday Park sits between Moonee Beach and the Moonee Creek estuary, just off Moonee Beach Road a short drive north of Coffs Harbour, and it is set up for dogs rather than just tolerating them. Alongside the usual cabins and sites there are dedicated dog-friendly cabins and tiny houses, and the estuary gives dogs a sheltered, gentle spot to paddle that is calmer than the open beach.

Dogs at the park

Dogs are allowed on designated caravan and camping sites and in specifically dog-friendly cabins, including some tiny houses. A maximum of two dogs applies per approved site or cabin, and dogs of any size are generally accepted, but every booking needs approval in advance, so confirm at booking. Most bookings carry no extra pet fee, though extra cleaning fees can apply if a non-dog-friendly unit is left with pet mess. The Reflections dog code of conduct applies across the network: leads no longer than two metres outside your site, no dogs in or around the camp kitchen, amenities, laundry or office, never left unattended, and waste binned immediately.

Max: approval happens at booking, not at the gate. Get the dog-friendly cabin or site confirmed in writing before you drive up.

Where the dog can and cannot go

One local rule catches visitors: dogs are on lead only on Moonee Beach itself, and pets are completely prohibited in the Moonee Beach Nature Reserve that flanks the estuary. For an off-lead run, the council's designated zone at Emerald Beach, north of Fiddamans Creek, is the closest option, with Boambee Beach south of Coffs Harbour off lead along its whole length.

Out and about

The park has a camp kitchen, tennis court and a kiosk for basics, though bring your own dog bowls and food. Nearby, the Moonee Beach Hotel and Mo's Artisan Wood Fired Pizza are the local options for a meal with the dog.
