Reflections Lennox Head - Holiday Park

Reflections Lennox Head - Holiday Park sits between Lake Ainsworth and Seven Mile Beach on the Far North Coast, and it takes dogs year-round on sites and in selected cabins. For a beach town that mostly shuts its rental doors to dogs, that makes it one of the most practical bases on this stretch of coast, whether you are in a tent, a van or booking a cabin.

Dogs at the park

Up to two dogs are allowed per booking, on all powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites plus designated dog-friendly cabins and tiny homes. There is generally no additional pet fee on sites, but declare your dogs when you book: Reflections' own code of conduct says an undeclared dog can cost you the stay. Outside your van, tent or cabin the leash limit is under 2 metres, tethered runs are not permitted, and dogs are barred from shared indoor facilities such as the camp kitchen and amenities blocks, plus the playground. Never leave a dog unattended, pick up immediately, and note that nuisance barking is grounds for occupancy to be terminated.

The park has its own fenced dog yard off the sites, which buys you somewhere safe to let a dog off the lead without leaving the grounds. Pet cabins are limited and book out well ahead of NSW school holidays, so filter for them explicitly rather than assuming any cabin will take a dog.

The lake and the beach

Pepsi: the dog beach and the lake are both right here, so you can do a salt-water run and a freshwater rinse-off in the one outing.

Lake Ainsworth is on the doorstep, its tannin-stained tea-tree water ringed by a shaded walking track. The off-leash section of Seven Mile Beach runs north of the surf club, and the marked dog beach car park serves it directly. A salt-water swim then a lake rinse-off is an easy double with the dog in a single outing.

Getting there and parking

The park is at the northern end of Ballina Street in Lennox Head, about 15 minutes south of Ballina Byron Gateway Airport and 25 minutes from Byron Bay. Sites have room to park a car plus van; cabin guests use the on-site parking bays. The Lennox Head Boardwalk and Ballina Street cafes are walkable from the gate.

While you're out there

For an off-leash run beyond the beach, Seven Mile Beach Dog Beach Car Park is the local starting point.
