Belmont Wetlands Camping Ground is a dog-friendly campground on the Redhead side of Belmont Wetlands State Park. It is camping only, with no cabins or roofed units, so this suits people who bring a tent or van and want beach and wetland walking on the doorstep.

The pet policy. Dogs are allowed overnight at designated campsites, up to two dogs per site. They are not permitted in shared guest facilities such as the amenities block, picnic areas or BBQ areas. Dogs must be kept on a lead under two metres, or contained within a suitably fenced area on your own site, at all times.

The place. It is a basic, self-sufficient camping setup rather than a resort. Reviews single out the beach access and walking, with showers and facilities on-site; note that some payments are coin-operated, so carry coins.

Who it suits. Best for self-contained campers with a well-behaved, leash-trained dog who are happy keeping the dog at their own site and off the shared facilities. If you need indoor pet-friendly accommodation, this is not it.
