A modern apartment set up for short stays inside a residential building rather than a serviced tower, so the feel is neighbourhood-normal: locals with prams and dogs in the lifts, a communal courtyard you will need to walk through without the dog, and the 109 tram at the end of the street into the CBD.

Getting there and out with the dog

The draw is the foreshore. Port Melbourne Dog Beach is close by for an off-lead swim, the Bay Trail runs along the water for on-lead walking, and Bay Street's cafe strip has dog-friendly outdoor seating. The sand itself follows the City of Port Phillip's seasonal off-lead hours, so check the signage along the promenade in summer before you unclip.
