Magnolia Village

Magnolia Village is a caravan and cabin park at 220 Boat Harbour Drive in central Pialba, a few minutes inland from the Hervey Bay foreshore. It mixes tourist accommodation with a residential village, so the park runs cabins, powered sites and holiday units alongside long-term rentals, and it sits within walking distance of the Pialba shopping strip.

Pets are allowed here on application, and the rules are stricter than at a typical holiday park. The park's own terms and conditions set a strict 5 kg weight limit, require every pet to be registered and approved by management before arrival, and specify that visitors' pets are not permitted in the village under any circumstances. Owners also have to clean up and correctly dispose of pet waste.

In practice, small pets are the ones welcomed: the park lists small pets on its powered and short-term sites, notes pet-friendly options on some standard ensuite and studio cabins, and accommodates pets on long-term rentals of twelve months or more. Short-term pet-friendly spots are limited, so ring ahead and confirm your dog is approved on the exact site or cabin you are booking, along with any fee.

If your dog is over the weight limit, the nearby parks do not all work the same way. Fraser Coast Holiday Park in Scarness takes dogs on powered sites, and Tasman Holiday Parks Hervey Bay is another option with its own pet conditions.

Guests describe a tidy, inviting village that has lifted under recent ownership, with the emphasis on quiet and orderliness rather than resort facilities. Because part of the park is residential, expect a settled atmosphere, and keep your dog on a lead through the village grounds.

Getting there and parking

Boat Harbour Drive is the main road into Pialba, and the village is easy to reach off it with caravan access. Stockland Hervey Bay for supplies is close by, and the Pialba Esplanade with its beachfront paths is a short drive. Pialba's off-leash dog beach runs on a 3pm to 8am window, so an early morning swim before check-in errands is an easy ask.
