If a stay is agreed, keep the dog on lead and supervised around the grounds. Kangaroos graze the property, the lake sits at the boundary, and wildlife is a large part of what you are paying for.

Max: roos everywhere, a lake to paddle and hammocks for the humans. A brilliant stay on paper, but my people rang twice before booking to make sure I was on the reservation.

The place

The cottages read as a couples-and-quiet retreat rather than a busy family base, with spa baths, fireplaces and a bush-and-water setting. Seclusion is the whole point, and the village of Peregian Beach is a short drive when supplies run out.

Getting there and out with the dog

Once you are settled, the Noosa off-leash beach zones running towards Castaways Beach are minutes away, and the Peregian Springs Fenced Dog Park covers a contained run. Hadz Cafe takes dogs in the village.
