NRMA Mildura Riverside Holiday Park

NRMA Mildura Riverside Holiday Park is a large park on the banks of the Murray at 199 Flora Avenue in Mildura, with the resort extras most caravan parks skip: water slides, an indoor playground and riverfront sites. It is also a genuinely dog-positive park, with dogs allowed in designated pet-friendly cabins as well as on caravan and camping sites, and its own off-leash area inside the park.

Dogs at the park

A maximum of two pets per booking applies, and pets stay free on caravan and camping sites, with a reported fee of around $15 per pet per night in the pet-friendly cabins. The catch worth knowing before anything else: pet bookings cannot be made online. You must book directly with the park, and approval is at the manager's discretion. Register your pet at check-in, and have vaccination details handy in case they are asked for.

Inside the park the rules are the standard caravan-park set: dogs on a leash whenever they are outside your site or cabin, never left unattended, and kept clear of communal buildings, the pool and playground zones. The park's dedicated off-leash area is where the pent-up energy goes, which matters on a long travel day.

Pet access can be restricted during peak holiday periods, so confirm dates and the current pet conditions when you call. The riverside position gives you flat walking along the Murray from your site, and the water slides and indoor playground make the park busier than a quiet bush camp, which suits social dogs more than anxious ones.
