Gunna Go Holiday Park is a family-owned caravan park on the Bruce Highway at Myrtlevale, a short drive from Proserpine in the Whitsundays. It is a bushland setting bordering Myrtle Creek, and it works as an affordable mainland base for Whitsunday trips with a dog in tow.

Dogs stay overnight in designated pet-friendly studio rooms and on tourist caravan sites, and they are strictly excluded from the standard cabins. Every pet stay needs management approval, so declare your dog at the time of booking, and a one-off $10 cleaning fee applies to pet-friendly bookings.

Inside the park dogs remain on lead at all times, owners clean up after them, and the quiet rural roads around Myrtlevale serve as the on-lead walking circuit.

Boat tours and most national park trips leave dogs behind, so arrange local pet sitting for those days. For dog-time on the coast, the Cannonvale Dog Exercise Area is the dedicated run, and Fat Frog Beach Cafe and Harry's Corner Cafe both welcome dogs. Discovery Parks Airlie Beach is the alternative pet-friendly base closer to town.
