Dogs must be well behaved and approved in advance. On arrival you get a Kanimbla Companion Pack with a lead, towel, bowls, a mat or bed and a treat. The outdoor rules are firm because of the wildlife: dogs stay on lead at all times outside, are supervised rather than left to roam, and are not permitted on furniture or bedding inside. Pet fees are not published, so confirm costs when you request approval.

The place itself

The property sits on a hilltop with mountain and sunset views, and guests at The Lodge regularly mention kangaroos on the property, fireplaces and comfortable beds. For groups travelling with a dog, a whole four-bedroom lodge with the animal allowed inside is a rare setup on the mountains.
