Cambridge Dog Park is the nearest proper off-leash run, and Red Square Cafe and Smith's Pies in Cambridge are both easy stops on the way back up the hill. Around Mount Rumney itself, most bushland reserves are either on-lead or no-dogs under Clarence council rules to protect wildlife, so treat the fenced yard as your dog's main outdoor space and check trailhead signage before walking further afield.
