The Guesthouse sits at 1334 Landsborough Maleny Road, right at the entrance to Maleny and within walking distance of the town's cafes and shops. Pets are allowed on request in the Tamarind Apartment, and both dogs and cats are welcome. A $40 cleaning surcharge applies per stay. Approval is not automatic: contact the property directly when booking and get the pet stay confirmed before you commit, including a quick check that your dog's size suits the apartment.

The vibe

This is apartment-style accommodation rather than a full guesthouse service, so you get a self-contained base with a hinterland outlook and easy access to Maleny's main street. It suits a couple or small group travelling with one well-settled dog rather than a large family pack.

Getting there and parking

The guesthouse is on the Landsborough Maleny Road at the bottom of the range road into town, an easy drive up from the coast via Landsborough. Off-street parking is on site, so unloading the dog and luggage is straightforward.

Close by with the dogs

The Maleny Trail links town and surrounding walks for a morning leg-stretcher, and Mapleton Dog Park is a short drive north for a proper off-lead run. For dinner, Frank Food & Wine is one of Maleny's established dining rooms, and if you want a more rural stay next time, Jacaranda Cottages at nearby Witta is set on acreage with farm animals.
