Out with the dog in Freo

The best off-leash run is at South Beach, where a 410-metre designated stretch of sand on Marine Terrace in South Fremantle is set aside for dogs, with accessible beach entry and wash-down stations nearby. Keep the leash handy for the adjacent grassy reserve, which is on-lead. Booyeembara Park on Stevens Street offers leafy hillside trails and open space for off-lead exercise under effective control, and Leighton Beach in North Fremantle adds a wide off-leash dog beach for a change of scene.
