Bilson's Landing is architect-designed accommodation in Daylesford made up of two separate three-bedroom houses, East and West, on the one property a short walk from Lake Daylesford. Dogs at Bilson's Landing

Dogs are welcome at both properties, and the fully fenced yard means you can let them out without standing over them. The house rules are strict on one point: pets are not allowed on the bedding or the furniture, so bring your own throws and the dog's own bedding and bowls. Some booking platforms note a pet charge may apply, and no size limit is published, so confirm any fee when you book. Make sure you know which property you are booking, East or West, because they are separate houses with their own entrances.

The place

Each house sleeps up to six guests with a full ensuite in every bedroom, set up as high-end, fully self-contained accommodation. That makes it a fit for a couple wanting space or a small group travelling with a dog, with the privacy of your own building rather than a motel wing.

Getting there and parking

Daylesford is about 90 minutes from Melbourne up through the Wombat State Forest, and the property is close enough to town to walk to the lake and the cafes. Off-street parking is on site.

Close by with the dogs

Lake Daylesford's circuit is the easy on-leash walk from the front gate, and the Three Lost Children Walk and the Tipperary Spring circuit cover longer bush options. Note that Hepburn Shire keeps dogs on leash in public reserves outside its designated off-lead zones, which sit in towns like Trentham and Clunes rather than Daylesford itself. The Farmers Arms welcomes dogs in its beer garden, and Jubilee Lake Holiday Park is the alternative pet-friendly base by the water.
