Modern Studio Suite, A Couples Private Retreat

Modern Studio Suite is a self-contained couples retreat at 33 Plover Street, Cowes, on Phillip Island, about a 10 minute walk from Red Rocks beach. It is built for one or two people and their dog: a compact modern studio with a securely fenced private courtyard, in a quiet street away from the Cowes foreshore crowds.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the studio, and the outdoor space is the real selling point: a private, paved courtyard with tall secure fencing, entered through its own gate, so the dog stays contained while you are on the deck or out for the day. Guest reviews single out the fenced yard as genuinely secure. There is no published pet fee, so confirm any cleaning charge with the host when booking, and bring your own food and water bowls. This is a one-dog, one-couple setup rather than a family property; there is no published size limit, but check with the host if you travel with a large breed.

Worth knowing

Inside it is open-plan living with a kitchenette, a large rain-style shower, Smart TV, WiFi and air conditioning, plus a covered paved area with a BBQ outside. Rates generally start around $160 a night, and there is covered off-street parking for one car next to the unit. Know before you book that it is a studio, not a full house, so luggage and dog beds share one main room.

Getting there and parking

Plover Street sits on the quiet western side of Cowes, about 3 kilometres from the main strip. Red Rocks beach is the walkable option for on-lead beach time, and Bass Coast Shire signage sets the seasonal dog hours, so check the beach signs before you let a lead slip.
