Coolum Beach Holiday Park

Coolum Beach Holiday Park is a Sunshine Coast Council park sitting directly across from the patrolled Coolum Beach, within walking distance of the town centre, cafes and the coastal boardwalk. Dogs are welcome on application, but only on designated sites and never in cabins.

The dog setup

Dogs are accepted at the manager's discretion, and you must apply and read the park's Dog Friendly Conditions of Acceptance before booking. Dogs are allowed only on specific designated dog friendly sites, with a maximum of two per site and a fee of $5 per dog per night, and a $150 cleaning fee applies if a dog ends up in a cabin. Confirm site availability and current fees when you book.

On site, dogs must be leashed at all times and kept out of common areas including amenity blocks, the laundry, camp kitchen and barbecue areas. Owners clean up immediately, and excessive barking can mean being asked to leave.

The vibe

The draw is the beachfront position, opposite the surf and a short walk from Coolum's shops and restaurants, with caravan and camping sites backed by clean amenities. Mount Coolum rises just south for a leg stretch that the dog sits out.

Getting there

The park is on David Low Way at Coolum Beach, reached via the Sunshine Motorway or David Low Way from Maroochydore or Noosa, with parking on or near your booked site. It is about 20 minutes from the Maroochydore side of the Sunshine Coast.

While you're out there

The sand across the road is on lead, but the Stumers Creek Dog Offleash Area a short way north gives a proper off lead run with a calm creek for nervous swimmers. The foreshore trail to Point Arkwright handles the on lead walks, and Ma Boulange Cafe in town is the bakery stop with outdoor seating.
