Coolum Corner is a relaxed, family-run cafe in the village hub on Birtwill Street, a few minutes from the beachfront. It does all-day brunch and takeaway, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor and footpath seating along the cafe frontage, with room to settle beside you. Water bowls are usually put out front. Keep dogs on-leash and clear of passing foot traffic.

Good to know. The coffee is Tim Adams, and the kitchen runs to fresh all-day brunch, in-house baking, and toasted sandwiches and wraps for takeaway. Open Monday to Friday 6:30am to 2pm, and weekends 7am to 1pm. Confirm hours before a special trip.

Getting there. The address is 1a/19 Birtwill Street, a short 3 to 5 minute walk from the Coolum Beach esplanade. Free on-street parking is around the village precinct but fills quickly on weekend mornings.

Nearby with the dogs. Tickle Park, a grassy beachfront reserve, is a short walk for a post-coffee stroll (on-leash), and the coastal path towards Point Perry and First Bay is good for ocean-view walks. For off-leash, head north to Stumers Creek.
