A Top Spot is a warehouse-style holiday house at 3 Daniels Lane in Byron Bay, managed by A Perfect Stay and sitting under 100 metres from the sand near Clarkes Beach. The industrial-loft design sleeps up to eight across four bedrooms and two bathrooms, with high raked ceilings, multiple balconies, a games room and air conditioning, plus private parking and an easy walk into town. It is a genuine group house that also takes dogs.

Dogs at A Top Spot

The property is explicitly pet-friendly, and dogs are welcome in the designated living areas as well as the fully enclosed courtyard, which gives them a secure outdoor space while you are inside. There is no published weight limit. Advance approval from A Perfect Stay is required before arrival, a pet charge applies and varies with the booking, and the property runs a strict no-party policy with a damage deposit of around $1,000. Confirm the pet approval, fee and deposit when you book, and bring your own dog bedding.

The beach catch

Here is the detail that matters most for dog owners: the beach directly out front is off limits. Byron Shire Council prohibits dogs on Clarkes Beach, Main Beach, The Pass and Wategos at all times, so the under-100-metres pitch does not translate into beach walks. Plan around it. The Belongil Beach South dog exercise area runs off-leash around the clock from near Manfred Street toward the Main Beach car park, a 15 to 20 minute walk away, and dogs there must stay in the intertidal zone and under effective control.
