Drummond Cove Holiday Park

Drummond Cove Holiday Park sits on the North West Coastal Highway about fifteen minutes north of Geraldton, and it is one of the more dog-welcoming parks on this stretch of coast: dogs are welcome on powered and unpowered camping and caravan sites, and there is also one designated Pet Friendly Ensuite Cabin, tucked in a private back corner with its own outdoor area. Pets must be kept on a lead within the park grounds and cleaned up after.

Dogs at the park

The lead rule across the grounds is standard caravan park practice, and Drummond Cove's layout, sites and cabins spread along the dunes behind the cove, gives a leashed dog plenty of interesting walking without leaving the park. The real draw is out the gate: Drummond Cove itself is a quiet northern beach suburb of Geraldton with sand, rock platforms and usually far fewer people than the town beaches.

Worth knowing

Geraldton is close enough for supplies, cafes and the foreshore precinct, so the park works as a base rather than an outpost. In town, the Remi French Cafe and the Kai Lani Cafe cover the coffee stops, while the Geraldton Caravan Park and Belair Gardens are the in-town park alternatives if you want to be walkable to the foreshore instead.
