Kai Lani Cafe

Kai Lani Cafe sits right on Foreshore Drive in Geraldton at 193 Foreshore Drive, facing the ocean with the foreshore playground across the path. For dog owners the position is the whole point: outdoor tables on the coastal walkway, water views all round, and a paved path that runs for kilometres in both directions from the front door.

The kitchen runs a relaxed, ocean-facing menu: the Spanish breakfast with halloumi, avocado, poached egg and chorizo gets named often, alongside egg benedict wraps, breakfast burgers, bacon and cheese croissants, and bacon and egg rolls for the quick feed. Lunch covers burgers and wraps, with smoothies, ice cream and rotating muffins for after. The coffee has a claim among the best in town. Hours run 7:30am to 2:30pm daily, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch venue.

Getting there and parking

Parking runs along Foreshore Drive with more at the nearby Batavia Coast Marina, and the cafe sits directly on the main pedestrian path, so walking in along the foreshore is the natural approach.

Close by with the dogs

The foreshore pathway outside is the easy win, and a short walk south reaches the Batavia Coast Marina plaza; check council signage for any designated off-leash stretches before dropping the lead.
