Little Neuk BnB

Little Neuk BnB sits on four acres of paddock and bush in the Baranduda Range, looking across the Kiewa Valley towards Wodonga, and it is set up for dogs from the start: no pet fee, a secure fenced dog paddock, and hosts who keep a dog of their own. The accommodation is the Wee Bothy, a converted gallery now a two-bedroom Scottish-style cottage.

Dogs at the Little Neuk BnB

Dogs are welcome in the cottage and on the property, with a purpose-built secure paddock of roughly 600 square metres for proper off-leash time. Pet blankets and towels are provided, and there is no extra charge. The one condition matters here: the hosts keep a young Beagledor named Finn plus a couple of goats, and at times sheep, so dogs need to stay under control around the resident animals. Weight and breed limits are not published, so confirm your dog with the hosts when booking.

Worth knowing

It is a true bed-and-breakfast setup, with provisions including fresh bread and eggs, and reviewers consistently call the cottage cosy and clean. The property backs onto Baranduda Regional Park, so forest walking and mountain bike trails start from the back paddock. Book ahead for weekends; it is a small, popular stay.

The address is 4 Barton Drive, Baranduda VIC 3691, in the foothills a short drive from Wodonga and Albury, with parking at the cottage. Beechworth and Yackandandah are easy day trips from here.

While you're out there

In Wodonga, the Belvoir Park Dog Park is a proper off-lead run if you are heading into town, and Roxy's Cafe is the local coffee stop in Baranduda itself. Lake Hume is nearby for dogs that like a swim.
