Lavender Farm

Lavender Farm is a three-bedroom timber farmhouse on 13 acres at 100 Pine Avenue, Badger Creek, five minutes from Healesville in the Yarra Valley, and it takes pets on request with no pet fee listed. You get the whole house to yourselves, verandas running around three sides, lavender gardens, and the valley spread out below. It is an hour or so from Melbourne, just off the road to Healesville Sanctuary.

Dogs at the Lavender Farm

No extra pet charges are listed and no size limit is stated, so confirm your dog's size and where it can go inside when you make contact. Listings ask simply that pets be friendly, and previous guests have brought dogs of various sizes. A quick message through the booking platform or the farm's own site sorts it out.

The house and grounds

The farmhouse sleeps a family or small group across three bedrooms with a homely, quiet feel, and the hosts' home-baked bread and cake come up again and again in guest feedback. Morning coffee happens on the three-sided veranda while parrots work the gardens; sunsets over the valley are the evening show. A shared pool may be available by arrangement. There is walking space across the 13 acres, but keep the dog on lead near garden beds and working farm areas unless the hosts say otherwise. Free parking sits on site.
