Enclave at Healesville Holiday Park

Enclave at Healesville Holiday Park sits at 322 Don Road in Badger Creek, in the forested foothills of Mt Riddell just outside Healesville in the Yarra Valley. It is the area's main caravan park option for travelling dogs: dogs are welcome on powered and ensuite sites and in designated pet-friendly cabins, and the park is set on 2.6 landscaped hectares with a semi-rural, quiet feel that suits a dog staying more than one night.

Book direct with the park and register your dog: only some cabins are pet-friendly and they are limited, so confirm availability, any fee, and size or breed conditions before you pay, because online booking engines do not always show pet availability accurately. On powered and ensuite sites dogs are broadly welcome. Park rules are standard holiday-park fare: lead at all times outside your van, tent or cabin, never left unattended, and kept out of communal facilities like the amenities block and pool area.

The park

Accommodation runs from one-bedroom cabins up to family-sized two-bedroom layouts with gas fireplaces, plus powered and ensuite caravan sites on manicured lawns. Reviews regularly call out the kids' playground, BBQs, electric blankets in the cabins and the overall cleanliness. The location does a lot of the work: Healesville's main street, cafés and the Sanctuary are a short drive, the Yarra Ranges foothills start at the back fence, and Lake Mountain's snow country is about 45 minutes away.

While you are out there

The Healesville Showgrounds Dog Off Leash Area is the local spot for proper off-lead time, and the Cherry Tree Cafe is a town coffee stop for the morning run. For a tasting afternoon, the Jayden Ong Winery & Cellar Bar is nearby, and Badger Brook Winery sits a little further toward Coldstream.
