Getting out with the dog

The Fernleigh Track starts at Adamstown and runs 15.5km to Belmont on an old rail corridor, and it is on lead only for the whole length, a sealed shared path with fast cyclists, so keep the dog close and to the side. For off lead time, the Adamstown Dog Off-Leash Area is in the suburb, and the Newcastle Dogs Beach is the designated sand run a short drive north. Both Fernleigh Cafe and The Bondwood Cafe are in the village for coffee with the dog outside.
